Want to tap into your strengths? Want to play more but lost touch with how or where to start? Want to just do something a bit less serious and parent like?
Think back to what you enjoyed doing as a child. You know before pressure to conform, time restrictions, money, fear of failure all took hold. It turns out this can be pretty interesting. I have been trying it for the last month and remembered all sorts.
Like the family walking holiday where I kept running ahead to carry on writing a story in my book. I was about 7 so there are a number of problems with this memory – why I was on a walking holiday in the Austrian Alps for one. Writing however continues to be one of my favourite things to do. Or how I lived for gymnastics for about 5 years (I still regret my unfulfilled gymnastic potential, in my head this has become exaggerated to describe how I was on track for the Olympics. In reality I think I probably just did a good back flip). Now that I am struggling to get motivated to exercise why has this not come up before? I am now on the hunt for an adult gymnastics class (34 is not to late for the Commonwealth, right?)
Give it a go and see where it takes you. As always sharing is cool, on the Lifebulb Facebook page or using #lifebulbmoments…
